“Talking about sports brazier, makeup brushes and couponing is really a conversation that should be left outdoors of labor, having a fight buddy or someone,” another female soldier told the publication. “If we’re likely to have classes such as these, make them more specific towards the rules and standards we have to uphold.”
Although not everybody who participated came away with negative sentiment concerning the event.
Col. Dianne Pannes, its organizer, apparently indicated almost 90 % from the feedback as positive, and Capt. Katie Martinez added, “I felt very inspired.”
And Martinez states it wasn’t all coupons and cosmetics, telling Military Occasions a few of the loudspeakers who addressed that inaugural gathering -- included in this Lt. Gen. Mary Legere and Maj. Gen. Nadja West -- spent greater than an hour or so responding to enlisted soldiers’ questions and speaking frankly regarding their careers.
